JAJ Team “12 arrived safely in Kenya. We spent the first night in Mombasa then travelled to Ukunda. Once settled in we met with Ukunda Pastors Association and our conference host Bishop Maurice Mwale of Nairobi. The focus was on Bishop’s purpose for the conference which focused on Grace rather works. We had a great dialogue about unity with one voice speaking only what God”s Word says. The Pastors were encouraged to speak out publicly regarding false teachers and doctrine and especially the gimmicks being used by ‘anointing oil’ sellers and ‘miracle’ sellers using Word of God for material gain. The influence and model behind these unethical practices was blamed on tv preachers from USA who give appearance of succeeding in gaining money and drawing people. The pastors (about 14 in all) were very hospitable and humble. Although it wasn’t planned (by me at least), I had an opportunity to share my experiences and lessons learned from 24 years in ministry with 17 years of them as a pastor. With so many if them being young pastors with young ministries I realized my ‘seasoned years. ‘What a blessed start. JESUS AFRICA JESUS!!!
