April 23rd is rapidly approaching for the JAJ ’12  trip to Kenya Africa. JAJ stands for “Jesus Africa Jesus.” Pronounced, it sounds like ‘JAH’ in the Bible which means the Lord. That’s who we are, the Lord’s team. Team members met today over lunch to discuss final plans and address any questions. Spouses were included so they would be in the loop regarding the trip plans. I’m personally excited as I can see this is going to be a unique and spirited team. As we pack and prepare this week, we are prayerful and seek the prayers of you, our supporters both now, during and after our return. We anticipate a mighty outpour of God’s spirit.

Notice on the left of this blog post, we have our countdown so you can follow along. Also notice our fundraising thermometer. I hadn’t thought to add the thermometer until a recent donor called to let me know that people such as herself needed to know what we needed and where we were in our fundraising for the trip. So here it is: The estimated cost of the trip is $2500 per person. As you can see to date we’ve raised roughly $6400 of that amount and secured our plane tickets and Visas. Remaining expenses needing covering includes, lodging, meals, gratuities and daily ground transportation.
